15.08.250 – Private dwelling - Window protection
- A window shall be so constructed that when the window is locked, it cannot be lifted from the frame.
- Window locking devices shall be capable of withstanding force of three hundred pounds applied in any direction.
- Sliding glass windows shall meet or exceed the Architectural Aluminum Manufacturers Association standards as set forth in their bulletin, AAMA 1302.3-1971.
- Louvered windows, except those above the first story, shall not be permitted.
