13.12.240 – Building sewers - Requirements generally

  1. A separate and independent building sanitary sewer shall be provided for every building.  The sanitary sewer service shall be installed to within ten (10) feet of the center of each lot or as otherwise approved by the Building Commissioner.  A building having one common wall with another building is considered a separate building and shall have its own sanitary sewer.
  2. Existing building sanitary sewers and/or storm sewers may be used in connection with new buildings only when they are found on examination and test by the Building Commissioner to meet all requirements of this chapter.
  3. New building sanitary and/or storm sewers shall be installed in accordance with the standards and procedures set forth in Chapter 16.
